Though the drive-in may be a thing of the past, you can still catch a great movie outside this summer in San Diego. Most of these events are free and feature movies everyone will like. Check out the line-up below, grab a blanket, some snacks, and call your friends. No matter what kind of movies you like you’re sure to find something you will want to attend.


Stone Brewing Company Presents Movie Nights At Liberty Station

Stone Cold Brewing Company has teamed up with Liberty Station to air some great flicks every Tuesday night this summer. Imagine a clear night, a cold Stone IPA, and your favorite movie, what could be better? They recommend arriving early at 5pm to grab a great spot for you and your friends. Hotel Del Coronado Movies On Del Beach

Airing a mix of cult classics and family favorites, Hotel Del Coronado has put together a great summer movie lineup. They offer some great packages that include everything from beach bonfires to beach chairs to complimentary popcorn. Doors open at 7:00 and movies begin at 8:00. Film In The Garden At Balboa Park

If you are more of a film buff than a movie critic, check out San Diego Museum of Art’s Film in the Garden events at Balboa Park. Each week they play a film themed around their current exhibit schedule. The event is free and the movies begin at 8pm. Check out the schedule below:

Pop Up Cinema At Fair@44

Every Wednesday between Fairmont Avenue and 44th Street in City Heights, there’s a pop up movie night. The night starts with live bands at 7pm and dinner provided by international food vendors. So go ahead and make a night of it! Check out the schedule below:
